چکیده

This manuscript presents an energy-efficient alternating optimization framework based on intelligent reflective surfaces (IRS) aided non-orthogonal multiple access beamforming (NOMA-BF) system for 6G wireless communications. Specifically, this work proposes a centralized IRS-enabled design the NOMA-BF to optimize active and power allocation coefficient (PAC) of users at transmitter in first stage passive IRS 2nd maximize energy efficiency (EE) network. However, increment number supportable with will lead NOMA user interference inter-cluster (ICI). To mitigate effect ICI, zero-forcing along efficient clustering algorithm is exploited then tackled efficiently through proposed iterative that computes PAC simplified closed-form expression under required constraints. In stage, problem solved technique difference-of-convex (DC) programming successive convex approximation (SCA). Simulation results demonstrate IRS-assisted can achieve convergence within few iterations provide performance terms EE low complexity.

Energy-Efficient D2D Communications Underlaying NOMA-Based Networks with Energy Harvesting

This letter investigates the resource allocation problem in device-to-device (D2D) communications underlaying a non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA)-based cellular network, where both cellular users and D2D users harvest energy from the hybrid access point in the downlink and transmit information in the uplink. We propose a low-complexity iterative algorithm to maximize the energy efficiency o...

Toward Energy-Efficient 5G Wireless Communications Technologies

The densification and expansion of wireless networks pose new challenges on energy efficiency. With a drastic increase of infrastructure nodes (e.g. ultra-dense deployment of small cells), the total energy consumption may easily exceed an acceptable level. While most studies focus on the energy radiated by the antennas, the bigger part of the total energy budget is actually consumed by the hard...
